Turkey Trot 5K

The race will be held rain, snow or shine!

COURSE: Certified (VT05002RF) 5K on the UVM women's cross-country course. Great footing (not counting snow or ice) on cinder/paved path and grass. Some single track. No pets, headphones, strollers or bicycles allowed on the course. Walkers welcome. Walkers and slower runners please line up towards the back for safety at the crowded start.
REGISTRATION: Race day registration only at Gutterson Field House at UVM in Burlington, Vermont - 10 a.m. until 10:40 a.m.

DIRECTIONS: Take Interstate 89 until exit 14. Get on route 2 west. Turn south onto Spear St. (via "jug handle" on right). Field House is on the right after 1/4 mile.
ENTRY FEE: $5 ($10 per family) or a food donation (make checks payable to Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf); Note: Runners are welcome to donate more than $5! All proceeds (after facility and insurance fees) go to the Food Shelf.
PICTURES: New this year: Pat Hendrick ( will be photographing the Turkey Trot and generously donating ALL PROCEEDS from Turkey Trot photo orders to the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf. Pick up order info on race day or check his website a few days after the event.
BENEFIT: Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf
RESULTS and PRIZES: The race will be timed with large race clock, but no results are recorded other than top 3 male and female finishers. Random prize raffle at noon for all participants.
KIDS' RACE There will be a free 1/4 mile kids' race at the Archie Post fields just before the 5K at 10:45.
