| COURSE: | Certified (VT02004WN) 10K out and back through Charlotte. This fast course is a mix of dirt and paved roads and has pleasant scenery - apple orchards, views along Lake Champlain, and the covered bridge at the turn around point. The start and finish is at Shelburne beach and proceeds along Bostwick, Orchard, and Lake roads. Water stops are at 2 and 4 miles. |
| REGISTRATION: | Pre-registration encouraged, fill out form located here or register online (online registration closes Oct 4). Race day registration at Shelburne Beach in Shelburne, Vermont. (8:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.) | RESTRICTIONS: | font size=-1>Open to all runners 12 and older. For runners under the age of 12, the runner must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. |
| DIRECTIONS: | Take route 7 to the traffic light at the top of the hill just south of Shelburne village. Turn towards the lake onto Bostwick Road. Follow the signs to Shelburne Town Beach. |
| CHILDREN: | A free 1/4 mile kids' race will be held just before the
10K at 8:45a.m.
At the site of the start/finish, there is a full children's playground. Additionally, although it is too cold to swim, the sandy beach is open for exploration. (The race does not provide supervision for either of these activities) |
| ENTRY FEE: | $8 Pre-registration/ $12 race day (GMAA members subtract $1) |
| PRIZES: | Top male and female in each age group |

| AFTER THE RACE: | Shelburne Orchards, located near the one mile mark of the race, will be open 9-5 race day. They have apple picking, cider doughnuts, cider and an outdoor wood oven for fresh pies and pizza. |
