Thanksgiving Day 2016 was a beautiful snowy day for the annual GMAA Turkey Trot. The temperature at the start was in thee low 30’s with minimal wind. There was snow accumulation on the ground which made marking the course difficult, however the course monitors came through in fine fashion. There was also some ice along certain parts of the course, so caution while running was advised.

The top male runner was Jeff Bush with a time of 17:04, followed by Matt Solomon 17:16 and Jonnie Donne 17:28. The top female runner was Julie Mogin with a time of 19:52 followed by Catherine Cook 19:53 and Katie White 20:18.

There were roughly 707 runners between the 5K and Kids Race. 593 pounds of food and $2,878 was donated to the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf thanks to those who participated.
