31st Annual GMAA Archie Post Five Miler

Burlington, VT
A sunny day with temperatures in the fifties greeted the 82 runners. Luckily Hurricane Floyd wasn't one day later - I don't think any runner can imagine 40-50mph head winds in a driving rain for 5 miles! The finish was exciting for spectators with the top three runners (of which number three was the lead woman!) finishing within 9 seconds! The field of runners came from quite a variety of locales - 4 states in addition to 26 Vermont communities. Thanks to all volunteers - Bob and Monica Cayia, Barbara Demas, Julie Renkert, Robert Kelley, Fred Kincaid, Dave Hershberg, John Williams, Terry Ulmer, and Matt Nicholls.
