GREEN MOUNTAIN ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION
The GMAA has sponsored many, many races since it was formed in 1976. Many of GMAA's races are among the oldest in Vermont, including the oldest - Archie Post. On this page we would like to scrutinize each of our current, long running races. Each race summary will include a general race history and past winners. If information is available we will provide age group records also. This is an ongoing project and will be completed over the next couple of years. If you have any information on any of these races, please let us know at history@gmaa.net!

The GMAA has also directed some current races that are no longer GMAA races - Stowe 8 Miler, Champlain Classic, First Run and Willistons Women's Run.  Retired GMAA races include UVM-GMAA Christmas Invitaional Track and Field meet, Court Club 5 Miler, Wheel and Foot Race, Underhill Dump Run, Three Bridges Run, Stroh's Run for Liberty 8K, Picnic 5K, Vagabond 10K, Warbler Ramble, Essex Junction 5K, E.K. Malone Memorial 10K, Bike and Tie, Essex 10 Miler, 50 miler and Ranger Run.
