Summary: A gorgeous morning drew a record crowd of 111 finishers in the 10K. The top three positions were solidified well before the halfway point in the race. First place went to Megan Valentine in 40:39, her third GMAA win of the year. Kelsey Allen took second in 41:38 and Jessica Cover took third in 42:18. The race for positions 4 through 10 was quite exciting when a chase pack built up in 7th place and slowly picked up runners until broke apart in the final couple tenths of a mile. Two age group records fell - Sally Howe secured the 60s record with 50:28, and Betty Lacharite continued to set the mark for 70s runners with a 62:20.
