19th Annual GMAA Archie Post Five Miler

Comments: I'm not sure what this means, but I was noticing as I typed these results that the number of men in each age division is 3, 6, 12, 13 and 13 as age increases. Maybe all the youger guys are doing the triathlon. Women's divisions had two each except for five in submasters. And speaking of the triathlon, I am considering setting the date for the 1988 Archie Post for September 4 to get it a week away from that event. I'd like to hear some opinions about having this race on Labor Day weekend.

The race this year went smoothly, thanks to the ourstanding help from talented volunteers. Shelburne, South Burlington and UVM police also did an excellent job controlling traffic. Weather was mild but humid with a slight tail wind - not bad for either running or hanging around before and after - both an enjoyable part of this race.
